For 2024, the GMC Acadia is offered with a single, more powerful engine than the 2023 version, which offered two engine choices but provided less power. The new GMC Acadia has a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Offering 328 horses and 326 lb-ft of torque, it outperforms the 2023 model by 100 horses over the four-cylinder and 18 more than the six-cylinder configuration, which is no longer available.
Performance and Capabilities
Front-wheel drive is standard, with available all-wheel drive should you prefer more extreme off-road adventures. The 2024 GMC Acadia carries a towing capacity of up to 5,000 lbs when equipped with the optional towing package, and if you're curious about storage you'll be happy to learn that minimum cargo space is now 23 cubic feet, almost double the 12.8 cubic feet in the outgoing model.
SAFETY AND DRIVER ASSISTANCE
The 2024 GMC Acadia comes with many standard safety and driver assistance features. Every GMC Acadia features automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist as standard in both model years.
