While Riverhead GMC has a great selection of new GMC vehicles in our inventory, there are times when you may want something very specific, or simply, may want to design your car yourself. A great way to ensure that you can get exactly the vehicle you have in mind in the color, trim and specifications that you like most is to order the vehicle directly from the factory. We can assist you in picking out the vehicle and features that suit you best and can place the order for your new vehicle for you. I am not finding the specific vehicle I want in your inventory, can I order exactly what I want?

Yes! If the model or features that you are looking for is not currently available, we can assist you with the ordering process from the factory directly so your next vehicle is exactly what you had in mind

I want to custom order a vehicle from the factory, do I still need to visit the dealership?

Riverhead GMC will need to place the order for the vehicle for you, but you can contact us and we can coordinate a process to order the vehicle that works for you, whether you visit us at our showroom to complete the order or you do it from the comfort of your home

What benefits are there to ordering a vehicle directly from the factory?

Custom ordering your vehicle ensures that you get the exact color, options and features that you want. If you have a very specific list of items that you would prefer on your next vehicle, custom ordering may be the way to go.

How long will it take for my vehicle to arrive after it is ordered?

It varies based upon the vehicle you order, where it is built and how many orders are ahead of it in the build queue. A general rule of thumb to follow is 6-8 weeks but this can vary and take more or less time. Riverhead GMC can provide a more precise estimate depending on the vehicle you are interested in.

Does ordering a vehicle from the factory cost more?

Not necessarily. Often, a deposit will be required to secure the vehicle's build that will go towards the cost of the vehicle, but otherwise, costs are similar to purchasing a vehicle that is already on our lot. Discuss pricing with your Riverhead GMC staff member to get a final cost breakdown.

I cannot wait, I need a vehicle now! Do I have to order a vehicle?

Definitely not. I want to test drive a vehicle before ordering one, can I do that?

Yes. You can visit our showroom and test drive a similar vehicle to the one you would like to order, that way you can get a good sense of the driving dynamics, features, look and feel of the vehicle you would like.

Because the Hummer EV is currently available only for pre-orders, Riverhead GMC can secure a reservation for a Hummer for you but we cannot order a specific Hummer for a custom build at this time. Contact Riverhead GMC for more details on the Hummer EV and current options to reserve, build and buy.
